Description

I wasn't quite satisfied with how my last post worked out, so I totally re-worked it and shifted the time-frame for the image. Instead of after the colonists are dropped-off, the convoy is arriving. In orbit around the new colony a station can just barely be seen. Around the planet are the remarkable terraforming installations. These are really shells, inflated with a small amount of gas obtained from captured comets. The giant mirrors are increasing the sunlight that falls on this world. Soon captured comets will be added to the planet's atmosphere to increase the water, and life will have room to grow. The ships as usual were modeled in Bryce, the planet started out from the Photoshop plugin "Lunarcell" but was altered considerably. Stars also started out with a plugin called "Glitterato" but were altered as well during postwork. Thanks for taking a look, and let me know which one you like better, too. I'm curious to hear what others think comparing this to my previous version.

Very original ships designs. Though within the sci-fi conventions of what a human ship "should" look like, I love the way you've made them your own, and not totally sterotypical.
