Taken Tuesday July8th 2008
Today at Hollingworth Lake Littleborough, Rochdale UK.
I left Sylvia with Kate in the pub at the lake having womans talk (you know how it is lol) and I went for a stroll with my camera. There were plenty of Geese and Gulls to get shots of but I don't often get very close to a Heron.
My hands shook with excitment as it grabbed a fish, I held my breath lol, I began to worry that all my shots would be a blurry mess.
What a buzz I got, I came home pretty pleased with myself.

Wow! Fantastic set of shots Alan, I haven't been up there for years, having to park the car a mile away doesn't help matters. Lol. I'm realy pleased for you that they turned out like this and not the blurry mess you were anticipating. Superb work, and excellent presentation. A must have fav. Bravo!!!!!

Now that's fit to be printed in some scientific journal. What an awesome sequence of shots. Never seen anything like that. Totally amazing. I can't even get within 7 meters of these guys. I guess one needs a telephoto?? Excellent captures!!!!!
