Description
We have been 'Up North" for the past few days, on vacation all week, and I managed to get a few shots of some Loons - which was pretty exciting for me. I have several so it was tough deciding which one to upload first. :-) I plan on catching up on your gallerys this week. I'm sorry I have fallen so far behind. Hope you all are doing great. Glad to hear that your vaca is going well!! Lots of photo ops? I am "carless"; hit a deer last nite and Dan's motor blew up. NOT GOOD. I sure wish PJ hadn't sold all them cars. Does he have anyothers laying around???? No $$ adn No Car, now what? :D Dean left with Danny & Ern for the Michigan prade,,,, they went right? So, it's just you 2 and ben??? MISSING YOU TONZ!!! Great shot! I'd like to crawl through the screen and swim with 'em right now! [I used to know someone that did a pretty good imitation loon call - a very mysterious and haunting sound! So I naturally like a loon.]

Stellar clarity, textures and reflections in this shot, young lady! Unless they belong to the same genus, the loons could easily pass for ducks, Sharilyn. All I know about loons is that they emit a weird cry.

So that's a loon. They have great markings/colors. Looks a bit like a duck. Wonderful photo.

I am like PJ When I see the word loon or hear it I think of On Golden Pond as well Wonder why certain things like that stick with us...... Great capture....I would of loved to have gotten some loon pics if I had been there as well I do have up a new one and would love for you to drop by This is a fav Hugs Susan~
