Hey. I am Nik from Germany. I´m working with Cinema 4D since 2007. Now i would like to show you my first result.
The image shows a scene in the "Ruhrgebiet", an area in Germany which is famous for it´s industrial culture. I always had been inspired by the place where i was born.
The target was NOT to reproduce reality. I think there are many people here on renderosity who do a better job making photo-realistic stills.
I just wanted to create a special "look &feel"
Postwork was done in Photoshop.

Very nice scene and atmosphere - reminds of the sixties or even earlier, when the steel and coal industry in that area was still in full swing and a lot of places really looked very gloomy.

Great - your first C4D work, but I suppose not your first 3D at all?;) Great effect. Hope you won`t be angry I d/loaded it as a ref img. I am currently preparing locations and props for an post-industrial anim and it would be great to see this photo while setting render params of my own tunnels.

Love it. Great atmosphere, lighting and POV. My only critique would be a more distressed texturing on the bench, although it my be there and just burnt out, but that's just being picky. Well done.
