I have been using RR for 5 years now and have had my eyes opened to the wonderful artistic talents of you all. I never realised there were so many visual art forms.I have always enjoyed taking photographs simply for my own pleasure and as a marker for events in my life.  I have bought a Nikon D40 DSLR & a Panasonic TZ6, I am very much an amateur. I need to go on a course to understand how to use a digital camera properly as I have real difficulties other than point and shoot.I will post my photographs and hope that some of you will find them pleasant but please remember I am a simple soul!Thank you to those of you who make comments, all are greatly appreciated.  I love looking at your galleries for inspiration. One member has recently used one of my shots from 2008 as a shot produced by him. Whilst I am an amateur, I take things like this seriously (2013) and have now managed to have it removed from his gallery and will do so if anyone else does the same. I wouldn't dream of copyright breaches so cannot understand why someone would do it to me. He has also now uploaded it on the site Art Wanted.com. Alas their moderators are not as responsible and helpful as those on this site. I have 2 exotic cats, Foggy and Boris. I adore my cats.  I am quite sure I will end up as a mad old spinster of a cat woman and do I mind? Nope.Thank you for your support

I'm lucky enough to live very near the Castle and walk past it every day. It's possible to become very blasay about it untill you see it once again through the eyes of a stranger. Thank you. I hope you also got to see Castell Coch on your trip, wonderful place.

Thanks Dave, it was truly an amazing place, we have a number of castles here in Jersey and its true that we take them for granted. We did go to Castell Coch which was lovely but sadly it was very late afternoon so the light was poor but will post a couple of images in the next few days. Caerphilly Castle was such a brilliant visit, the Big Pit was an interesting few hours too. Wales is a great place to visit, never been there before but will surely return. Thanks for your comment.

It's a wonder Health and Safety haven't shut this place down the way that tower is leaning. Lol. This is another one for my list of castles to visit, I keep planning a trip along the Welsh coast from Rhyll to Cardiff, but every time I mention it to my daughter it turns to rain, she's in greece for a week now so its of again. Excellent capture, it looks well worth a visit to have a look round. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Oh wow, really makes me miss living in England!! We just don't have castles and architecture like this in the US. Nice lighting on this photo, I love cloudy weather, :-)
