Description

I think this is a type of zinnia. I don't know for sure. I saw it at the local home garden center and it was one of those I gotta have it moments ... lol. It didn't have a tag, just a sticker that said "ground cover". I didn't even think to ask what it was, because no matter, I was getting it! hehe. So, do you have any idea as to the identity of this flower? (more views to come). Thanks for stopping by, commenting and some favorites on some of my photos. I appreciate whatever you have to say. My previous upload, "Sweet William ~ From The Top". Have a great day, ~Melinda~

I think it's called gazania? Hardy and very colorful groundcover. Great capture!

I went with what Denise said, and looked up gazania. It's a drought-tolerant ground cover, and likes a sunny place. Native to Southern Africa. It's beautiful!

Strange, I never saw a gazania like that. Petals all over the place. Actually, with those claws, it kinda looks like some kind of predatory, meat-eating plant, such as a Venus fly trap. In any case, fantastic POV, clarity, colors and textures in this macro, Melinda!
