Description
This sky walk is in the Reserva Biologica Bosque Nuboso Monteverde and is about 100-ft. above the forest floor. It was in this reserse that I saw-and heard- a Mantled Howler Monkey. Unfortunately I was on the forest floor and the Howler was in the tree canopy, more than 100-ft. up. I did not take a picture because the light conditions were bad, and my lens wasn't long enough. But the sound this monkey made was loud enough in volume that it could easily have been made by an animal the size of an elephant. Yet these monkeys weigh only between 5kg to 8kg.
On a previous upload, dated 'Monteverde Cloudforest' and dated 10 December 2004 I show a view from the sky walk.
