Description

Just before sunset last night I saw a pair of Sandhill Cranes. This is one of the shots I managed to get. Hope you enjoy it and thank you all for your warm welcome back yesterday.

I need not say much, for your work speaks for itself: look at the eye clarity! I hope you are not going to hit and run again this time! straight face

Greetings, We live in an area in which these birds do not habitat but we do have Heron and Egrets and when ever I see them, I can only gaze in wonder at their beauty and grace. So I can only imagine what it must be like to see Sand Hill Cranes. Thank you for sharing. egmont

I once asked fish and game what the difference was in the cranes since sandhill are protected and I didn't want to mess with something protected (long story about why I was messing with cranes... LOL) Anyway, he told me they look just like other cranes and it was nearly impossible to tell the difference unless you were an expert in cranes...With your marvelous photo here, I think I could pick one out of a line-up without too muchh trouble. :-)
