Lovely photo,Mick! The light is on Redcliffe Point, Preston, and I found the following info for you. Preston has been nearly overwhelmed by modern development and caravans. The meadows which slope down to Redcliffe Point at Preston are covered with row upon row of caravans, necessary I suppose being so near a popular seaside resort. But they do not enhance the view of Weymouth Bay as seen from the hilltop, the first sight of the blue waters of Weymouth Bay with Portland beyond. It was here that John Constable painted his famous canvas of Weymouth Bay. There is however a little of the older village left in the centre, including a few stone cottages. The Romans landed at nearby Bowleaze Cove and the foundations of a Roman temple have been found. Preston's main claim to religious fame is the fact that John Wesley's grandfather, old John Wesley, lived there and died in 1678.

The different gradients of light does add a lot to the depth of the image. I love the deep blue color. Interesting facts about the place, as formidable as the image itself.

Looks like there ought to be some sort of miracle going on on that spit of land. Sort like it was a favored spot in the eyes of mother nature. Gorgeous and a perfect moment to capture in such a stellar way.

Will you look at that sea! It's actually blue Mick, not like Blackpools brown stuff at all. Lol. Excellent capture, I'll take Andrea's word for it cause I can't see any caravans from here. I love this shot though, just for the sea, once you get past the Mersey Estuary its a different world. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
