Description
Just purchased the Fokker DVII from Gunpoint 3D.
It's a great model but the textures are too 'factory fresh' so I had a go at doing my own.
The Barn is by Dark Anvil at Vanishing Point.
Inspired by my love of aviation, The Blue Max and Aces High.
Thanks for looking :)

Wonderful job with the retexturing and the barn certainly feels like it belongs with the Fokker's. Suggest you set the props to other then perfectly up and down though and the shadows - not sure if they are to hard or to soft?

Nice work. Great WW1 atmosphere. He's right about the props. Take them off and angle differently. Boost the shadows too. Keep putting work up like this, we need more people like you.

Great aircraft. Cantilevered wings high compression 6 cylinder engine. The Smithsonian has one with about fifteen hours on it when it landed on an allied field in adverse weather. Arguably the best pursuit aircraft of the War, along with the Sopwith Snipe.

Well done!!!

Great render.I suppose the temptation is to postwork this sort of thing to grainy black and white, but I'm glad you didn't, the subdued colouring is brilliant. The barn is inspired prop placement, fits perfectly.Very well done with the texturing, I tried painting a lozenge pattern on an Airfix kit and it nearly drove me mad.( what do you mean nearly?) shut up I wasn't talking to you....

I think you caught the mood of weary defiance in defeat quite well, here...
