Description

These cattle were being herded home from the range between Santa Elena and the Interamericana Highway on the Pacific Coastal Plain. This location was at an elevation of ~4,000-ft. The picture was taken while returning from the Monteverde Cloudforest on 9 December 2004. This is the way it has been for a long time. The road perhaps is a bit more all weather than might have been expected in historic times.

Thanks for the pictures around Costa Rica, I was there a while back and got to see a good bit of the country, including some by horseback with a couple friends that live there. Wonderful captures.
