Description

Taken on the morning of May 1, 2008, May Day, or the ancient festival of Beltane, at one of the most famous places in the world. Sorry I haven't been around as much, sometimes life gets in the way. Thank you very kindly for your views and comments.

Glad to see you back up and posting! Life does get in the way.... hehe.. that's a cute way of putting it... makes one think about what our true purpose here is anyway? hmmm.... Your image seems to coincide with this idea, for me, at least. Very beautiful, and lively... what an incredible creation and capture! Excellent perspective and lighting! The way the "starry" shaped sun seems to peak right through the crack is stunning! Gorgeous artwork!

A stellar capture without peer, Maria! The silhouetting and contrast are magnificent. Probably one of the best photos of Stonehenge I've ever seen! Love the effects of the sun peeking out. Did the Druids and worshippers ever make an appearance that day?

Exactly what Stonehenge was meant to be, associated with (glorious) sunrises. Great head on capture of the sun. I love the post work to the clouds and colors. I am glad you found time to visit!
