Description

After seeing increased imperial activity in the Kathol Sector, the Rebel Alliance was able to track them back to a newly constructed base in canyon territories of Aaris III. A single recon scout was sent in to acquire detailed information on the new installation and report back to base. While at first glance this seemed like a typical imperial ground base, further research proved it to be a new central communications hub for the entire Imperial Navy. Assuming the scout can get off the planet safely, the information will be of great value to the alliance and pivotal in the event of an offensive maneuver. I've been trying to clean up all of the projects in various states of completion that have accumulated on my hard drive, tossing the dead ends and wrapping up the others. This is an older one that I thought had kind of a cool POV, so here it is :) ...made with lots of Vue vegetation, selected Dystopia city blocks and the Dystopia communication tower bonus block. Freebie credit and thanks go to Tom Grays for his Tie Phantom (scifi3d.com) and Olivier Couston for his Shuttle Tydirium (scifi3d.com). As always, thanks for looking and for any comments and suggestions.

You really should gather up all your projects... publish it, and I will make sure and buy a couple of copies for my library. I will make sure to reserve space on my shelf for that compendium. The foreground in silhouette framing the view is a classic device that you have used so very, very well. Awesome stuff!

Great work .... of course we all know the Rebel Scout won't make it out of the system alive. But that's neither here nor there, awesome work. I really love how you can cross the fore grounds and backgrounds in light and dark. It makes for very dynamic images and scenes.

lol on the sign. Oh - and make sure we dont have any sensors on the heights so we can be easily observed, just put this old sign up there...

Really nicely done. I love the faded color effect you get on your pics for distances. And I really like that you went outside the box and dropped the dystopian blocks in a jungle setting. People don't often think to do that.

By it's own merit it's a stellar piece of artwork, but that sing in the foreground is priceless! "Have a nice day!" LOL! And then at the bottom, HALLIBURTON?! That is too cool!

Clearly tempting fate with this recon mission. Great scene - nice use of landscape to create a tremendous sense of depth, with an effective density of credible detail.
