Description

Hi folks, I thought I would stop by the roadside and snap a quick shot of something different. This is a Cheverolet 1953 model 3100 I saw for sale. It has California license plate tags to let the prospective buyer know it is from away. Still the chrome on the truck is showing rust. Our winter roads get a mix of salt and sand to melt ice, so our vehicles deteriorate quickly in a rusty end. I would have cleaned up the background of distractions for presentation however I am still in the learning curve there. So you get it as I saw it. 1953 was an excellent year! One I'm fond of since I was born then so of course, this must be an exceptional vehicle. I know I'd be happy driving it. Great shot and the clutter in the background is not bad at all and doesn't take away from the shot - at least for me.

Gorgeous capture! This past weekend there was a vintage 'hot rod' show at the fairgrounds. I couldn't go but did see some of the lovelies on the news.

The only way I could afford to buy that truck is to hit the lottery BIG!! My dad had a 51 dodge panel truck. I wish that that type of truck could be made today.

"Out of State license plates, no backs!" :) That's what they say around here in MN when they see a license plate that's out of state; you get a big punch in the arm, every time!!! Anyway, the kid in me escaped... this is one great looking oldie but goodie!! :) Glad you stopped and took a pic!
