Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

I think it looks charming against the quaint old shed! It brings back memories of helping my mom can pickles, and just the thought of that vinegar and dill still takes my breath away from the overpowering odor.

Wonderfully complex & rolling & musical. The dill rolls likke crests on an ocean, and it looks as if it goes on forever and you caught a 'glimpse' of it. But its capture against this shed is just the best. It's such an unexpected juxtaposition! The shed is all lines and blues and shadows and that rust-colored awning, and it's so different from the youthful & airy dill: It's one of those shots that tells us that life is the mix of all kinds of worlds. You even included the brick on the right side of the shed—which is another texture. And the bushes are like garnishes. I luvvv this shot. Hey, if not having your CR-V leads to this, may it stay in the shop for months! (Ha! Shut up Mark!) Well, it would be great for us at least! (And btw, is this your chicken shed? Have they said, "whoa! Like, that's a lotta DILL!!!!")

The mixture of greens and textures is just marvelous. And the shed lends an "honest" touch.

I agree, it's lovely against the shed. Gotta be the biggest darn dill I've ever seen!

Lavender blue, dilly, dilly... Superlative capture of the dill patch, Jodie, with nice dark mood effects! The only dill I ever see are in pickle jars. Sorry about your car.

Now sprinkle the fields with lots of green dill, keep on sprinkling until it's a thrill. It's good for the fields and an eyeful pleasure it yields. Hehe Lovely contrasted against the old iron shed Jodie, it's a feast for the eyes. Well captured.

In August in Sweden the season of fishing crawfish begins. To these dill crowns in a mass is a must. Don't know if it is special for Sweden, but it s a great tradition. Colored lamps, ridiculous hats and bibs for the guests, and singing a lot and drinking a lot! The night before all go out in the dark with headlights to catch the crawfishes in crayfish-pots. Then they are boiled with lots of dill. Beautiful shot BTW!
