Description
Earlier in the week my friend Olga had gotten in touch saying she was coming back to town for a day or so and wanted me to take a few pics of her to remember the place by.. I suggested sunrise, she suggested the castle... only thing is when we got there the planned reflection shots in the calm pool were rather scuppered by the high tide and crashing waves.
This shot shows her generally having fun messing about on the beach but keeping an eye out for incoming waves as a few ended up chasing her rather further than she was perhaps expecting! We spent over an hour enjoying the view, trying a few shots etc and I think I learnt a few things as it was really my first 'arranged' shoot thus far (a 'proper' flash is definitely on the wishlist now!) and I'll probably post up a couple of other more portraity ones for critique in the coming week as I get round to editing them...
Anyway, hope you like it, it's fresh from the camera today =)

It is stunning. Perfect time of day to shoot as you can tell by the wonderful lighting on her face. She is pretty and you've captured her glow and the contours of her face wonderfully. The background colors, the waters foam and the sheen of the beach add without being distracting. I'll bet she loves this.

Beautiful young lady on the beach - would like to see a closer look of her - or a wider gaze of the sight.Early sunshine is a difficult matter without use of special lenses- too much contrast -in general you have some very impressive other shots.

The mood is great, reflecting the energy and movement but the best part is the anticipation you caught on her face keeping an eye out, I can almost hear her laugh. Well captured, she will treasure these, I am sure despite it not being studio shots.

=) ..my sleeping pattern is somewhat reversed at the moment somehow, so I'm usually pretty awake awake when sunrise comes around - I know this won't last for long so I'm making the most of it while I can hehe

lovely shot and I don't think a flash would have made this any better. The flash is a tough one. I tend to only use it when the sun is higher and the shadows harsher. This early the warmth of the light and shadows look so good left as it is.
