Description

Please watch in full size to appreciate the details. Thanks! I read a lot during these last few weeks, something I love to do but haven't done enough, and so I wanted to make an image about the act of reading. This is my second image featuring a reader. My first one was called "The Reader", it was made in February 2007, two months after I started playing with Vue. It's full of technical deficiencies and several things I would do completely different if it was now. Despite that, I still like it so, here's a direct link to it. Who knows, you might like it as well. thumb_1389156.jpg Thanks for watching! EDIT: axolotl2 asked about the tree root. Yes, that's a standard Vue tree (a "Large European Ash", available in C3D). The adjustment between the terrain and the roots was made the old fashioned way: several iterations adjusting the roots in the plant editor and the terrain in the terrain editor until they both match together. No secret, just hard work. :-)

This is a really awesome scene, I like the contrast of the city in the background with this really quiet place. Really nice composition.

What a perfect place for a good read, Artur! This is a great composition and render. You have a lot of patience and skill for VUE. I am always multi-tasking ( doing lots of things at the same time, but none of them really well.. ;o) ). This is a favourite of mine, although the wrong way up for my desktop. It would make a good 'book cover' / 'dust jacket'. Warm regards from a very nosiy Glasgow ( World Pipe Band CHampionships being held this weekend .. ), John.
