Description

Cognizant of Marilyn's propensity for things artistic and statuelike in the garden, I snapped the above in and around various front lawns and gardens. Sneak factor low to moderate. I'm confident others among you will also appreciate this display. No. 1 photo captured 7/19/08, Nos. 2, 3 & 4 captured 7/16/08, very early in the morning, within walking distance of my persnickety place. Incidentally, I never realized that flamingos had bananas for bills/beaks. It will be to your distinct advantage to view close up. Thankx for popping in, and have a happy hump day, which seems to arrive faster and faster as the weeks, months and years go by.

The infamous garden/lawn Pink Flamingo... Nice finds and photo collage Harry. All you need now is one of those creepy Garden Gnomes! LOL.

Not much I can say about a flamingo,(not realy going for me) but a little fawl is cute and a sweet girl is well captured to see all the carved details on her face and dress.

They were once a popular lawn ornament to display year round after a trip to Florida. This led to ethnic jokes. No disrespect for plaster saints here.

This is just one more case of California being a little more glitzy than Toronto. Up here we got jockeys holding lanterns...... oh and plastic owls to keep the pigeons away. Fabulous work Harry, they all look good, but I favor the Pink flamingo myself!

That dear is so cute; I have always wanted to invest in some garden buddies, but never have ---- yet. Think an angel and maybe a froggie would be my first choices. Although, that pink flamingo is growing on me.

LOL - banana beaks! Thanks for the chuckle Harry! Most of my relatives have angels in their gardens. Or Gnomes!
