Description

Thought I do something diff and post some old architecture stuff. Do not know anything about the house . I looked it up on google but I can not find nothing. All I know it old and it just past st. Martinville going to New Ibera on the back roads. Took this in the spring before the leafs came out in full force. Took many shots and i liked this one. This was in the afternoon but I do have a shot of it in the early morning too. Can not find that shot lol. anyway thanks for looking and comments oh the house is been live in now that all i know of it

What an incredible shot! That looks like spanish moss hanging from the trees and it really adds to the atmosphere of the capture. Superb work, Jocko!

Beautiful plantation style houses you have down there. There's much history in these walls and always an oak-lined path to the front door. Very well done capture, Jock.

It does have the appearance of a small plantation owner's place. The gate and drive to the front it fabulous and i love how you got it straight on this way. I can picture a horse and buggy stepping up the lane.

Excellent shot of the mansion. 5+++ The lighting is fantastic. Funny how the trees and gate make the house look small or awkwardly distant. I'm really glad you took this when the leaves didn't hide the wonderful branches, too.
