Description

Hello! Sometimes the most bashful bloom can be the most beautiful. Look at this little bloom from one of our self seeded potato plants. Soon I may be able to dick up a few fresh potatos too. :))) Thanks for having a look and for your kind comments to "Dry Weed" yesterday :) Have a lovely day Weather here is beautiful and hot and will be up til 27C = 80,6F, which it a little too hot to my mouth water.

You never think of how beautiful those small flowers are, you just think: fresh potatoes and butter....or maybe herrinig. Great Macro!

Jocko remarked recently how little we see of flowers that produce food. This is a lovely macro, Helle, well noticed and captured!

I am amazed! I have a potato tree in the back yard. Its beuatiful with its hundreds of purple-blue blooms but I can't get a good shot that make the flowers look anything more than crumpled disks with a yellow blob inside. You found the right angle to spruce this little treasure up! Stellar!

oh this thing has to be seen full-size. It's one of the strangest combinations of textures and shapes in the flower kingdom. You got the potato stamens, which I always thought were bold & kind of clunky; you got the small sensuous flower, which is so much softer than the stamen (it's almost from another plant!); and you got the stem which, full-size, is bursting with spindly hairs and 'creepy' things (potatoes must really have nightmares!). It's a great capture of a wild flower, and you gave it plenty of deep space around it, almost like an oil or acrylic painting. This could qualify for the "texture" theme in my opinion. In any case, you've taken us deep inside nature's other-worldly kingdom once again.

It sure doesn't look shy too me... I think it could stand out in any flower garden Beautiful Hugs Susan~
