My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I love these old radiators too; excellent capture of the repeating arches, and the light pattern from the windows.

Like it should be hanging in a gallery in Manhattan.

Excellent shot.

This is great. Great fun and a great view, great perspective, dof, detail. It's a lovely image, and I, too, love the way the light shine in through the glass. It's my understanding that the wavy glass is caused by the way in which the glass was poured.........very old techniques!

excellent image!

I remember that window and the glass but you give them more beauty and depth than I ever could have thought--beautiful!!

You have a great taste to turn a simply radiator into cool abstract. Like a side light.

This is another example of a great shot that can teach me something. I found myself studying the lines and lighting carefully. Really amazing stuff!

Interesting shot! :)

Yes, that is exactly what can give me mouth water. I just love these kinds of shots. Actually I took a shot of an old ladder...maybe I should post it as an answer to this excellent shot. Or of the wooden fence...hmm... now I dont know LOL !

Tara, this is a classic! When I first went to art school the first project, which lasted several weeks, was all about white; this would have been a perfect composition for part of that. My house was built in 1923, by the way, but heating was unheard of, I put it in in the seventies! This is a SUPERB compo!
Kelena
wonderful capture

I remember these old radiators back when i was little (my age is showing some when i risk admitting this!) lol ... that old house must be great ... they just don't build or make anything like they used to! Nice shot; love the lighting.

We used to have radiators like this at school, with big 3" steam pipes running from room to room, at home we had a fire, well a big range actually, which the council ripped out in the early seventies. I still miss that range. Lol. Excellent capture Tara, a perfect study of white and light. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Interesting display of light and shadow effects in this shot. The radiator resembles the ducting tube that leads out of my clothes dryer and into the wall. Also, any house built in 1922 has got to have ghosts, and the windows are probably painted shut by now.

wonderful capture, Tara May warm hug and love, Linda Kaye

I remember these radiators, too, so I'm showing my age as well. What really tickled my funny bone was your comment that this type of thing "flips your skirt". I had not heard that expression before and have chuckled about it since first reading the comment. Oh, and a great photo...I kind of got side tracked there.
