Description

Back at the ship, repairs were well underway.Service droid TN22-03 had spent most of the day sorting through tangled wires, charred circuit panels and twisted metal, the hull plating twisted and opened like a tin can from the impact with the surprisingly small chunk of space debris.Having finally secured passage from Ocean City aboard this craft,he now found himself unceremoniously dumped onto this primeval planet and left to sort out the damage while the ship's pilot,Adira Wass, had gone off to scout the area and possibly find help. Most of the navigational circuits were lost, and the fire had taken out communications and some flight controls. He was amazed Adira had managed to land this ship at all,let alone in one piece, although the soft marshland had not supported the craft's weight and she'd sunk pretty good.As he re-routed power and scavenged parts from unneccessary controls, the sun slowly began to dip below the horizon.Soon it would be dark.Where was the captain, she should have been back by now! This thought had no sooner entered his circuits than a horrendous roar resonated across the jungle in the direction Adira had taken.Time to sit out the night in the safety of the cockpit, the droid thought,as the sounds of creature activity surrounded the landing site.Hopefully Adira was okay... All items created in Bryce.Droid is from my previous image"Watching the Ships Leave".The ship is a new model created for this series, and the tree and large roots were created in the terrain deitor from lattice terrains. The bark and terrain textures are freebees from www.turbosquid.com,the droid textures are from www.vyonyx.com and the ship texture is from www.cgtextures.com.I took this ship texture into Photoshop, and combining it and another texture of red and white stripes(also from cgtextures)and adding two distressed black lines either side of the stripes,I created a second texture that allowed me to add paint designs to the hull. Thanks for viewing and all your previous comments!

Great render and super narrative to go with it. Guess we can surmise what happened to the captain. Love your ship model.

Excellent work Neil. Your intimate knowledge of the droid's thoughts make me wonder if you came from the same production line... :o)
