I haven't a clue as to the name of this Moth, so if anybody does know pray tell. I stepped outside the back door earlier today and started work on fixing the outside water tap. I had just about finished and saw something fall from up above and it landed on the back step. On closer inspection this is what I found. It was still alive but very docile, I picked it up as gently as I could and placed it on a paper towel to take a few shots. It was on its back when I found it so that is where I started from. I took a few close ups and then got out the extreme macro lens for the eye shot and the wooly rug shot. I then placed it on top of my ladder in a shaded place, I will check later to see if he's woken up and gone. It was a rush job so not perfect, just wondered if anybody could name him. I have been on several moth sites but not found one like this. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make.
