Description

The oasis in the middle of nowhere, where we camped for several days. The gregory River is an artisan fed river, which means the water in the river just comes up from the ground naturally and runs to the sea. When it rains, it floods the river bed beyond it's capacity and that is why the trees bend the way they do, as in my previous upload of "Early Morning"......you can see some debris left behind here in the trees in this shot from the rains last wet season. Not a good place to camp in the wet season!

A wonderful view Sue, not quite as magical as yesterdays shot imho, but still a gorgeous place to set up camp. Did you catch breakfast I wonder? Assuming you took a rod and line with you. I haven't been camping proper since my teens, it didn't seem a good idea with three kids and now I'm too old and past it. I envy you on this trip out west. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
