Description

Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held images. Yesterday's critter was the larva of one of the Hoverfly species "Pseudodoros clavatus". These larvae are about 7-12 mm long and are found from coast to coast in North America. It is the only North American species in the genus Pseudodoros. It will grow up to be a little wasp looking Hoverfly with a black body having some white rings. BTW - Andrea (durleybeachbum) was spot on with her ID. Today’s critter is an adult male and I will disclose its identity tomorrow. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee

No idea, but just to be different I'm gonna guess something from the order Heteroptera. Oh, and nice captures.

This looks to be something from the katydid family... one of the smaller species. Excellent capture. Bunny

Leafhopper. :-) I have this theory that worked pretty well in high school on my pop quizzes... repeat the same answer each time and the law of averages says you will eventually run into the question that has that for an answer. So...I say leafhopper...again. :-)
