Description

I have taken this image on Princess Island in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, last year in March when I visited this beautiful city. This particular morning had fairly miserable weather but the afternoon when I headed back to my hotel, it was this beautiful, blue sky day. I took a walk across to Princess Island and captured this rather serene image. It was the coldest temp I have ever had to endure - a mild minus 16 degrees celsius!!! Now - as a South African, that's freaking cold ok!!!!! I vividly remember getting back to the hotel and not beeing able to feel my cheeks and nose!!! I hope all my friends in Southern California are ok after the earthquake that hit on Tuesday and that you and yours were not harmed in any way!!! I am sorry that I am not commenting that regularly at the moment. I have hit my busy season at work and for the next month it is going to be hard to keep up. I will try my best though!!! Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your very valued comments on this image as well as my previous uploads. Hugs, Carin xx

The Bridge on the River Kwai. Exquisite! Otherwise, nothing else I could say would do justice to this amazing capture, Carin! And other than some rattled nerves, I survived the Los Angeles earthquake in fine fettle. Just a tiny bit of damage to my condo, which I can repair myself.

A bridge is always very symbolic to me, in this case i wouldn't cross the climate change. How cold??? What is the white stuff? LOL

It may be just a little bridge, but it has huge character to it, and is set in a very beautiful scene as well. Really awesome.
