I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Nice bridge. It reminds me of a bridge on the Paseo del Rio in San Antonio, Texas. Great shot

As I said previously: bridges hold a very symbolic value for me and very significant that this one is built with solid rock. The elegant curves having that romantic touch. This NY, is it bigger than Potch?

The Bridge on the River Kwai, part II. Splendid POV employed and fine clarity in the capture of the bridge, foliage, background and avians lolling about in the placid waters, Carin.

What a great shot. I can see why it's such a popular place! Don't freak out ... he isn't coming to make sure you've got everything done that you wanted to do! I think all you have to do is show up. :)

Beautiful bridge shot - and it's not like the end of the world is coming, it's just your man, and he'll be happy just to be with you!

lol and hugs to Denise, Tara and Marilyn!!!! You guys made me so much more relaxed about Bruce's arrival!!! Knowing me, I'll probably need a couple more talks like this before I leave for the airport on Sep 5th!!!

It looks like an autumn day in the park with the naked trees and few people. Still the birds seem to have found the quiet to be to their liking. I understand how you feel...after a long drum roll you are about to hear the cymbal. The creshendo builds until the heart pounds with the fast-approaching standing ovation. :-) I'm so happy for you both! Oh, and again, I do love this capture. :-)

Never been there, but when I saw the photo, I thought: "CENTRAL PARK ... naahhhhh ... Carin lives in SA .... not possible!!" But hey ... somehow I managed to be right!! Excellent fall photo. The framing, POV and lines are splendid. The placement of the swan in the front balances it all out. Very, very well done!
