Description

Sarcophaga carnaria(Flesh Fly) Went out to feed the fish yesterday and saw this fly sunbathing on the rim of one of Paulines plant pots. I fed the fish went back into the house for my camera and it was still there. It posed for a couple of shots, then I got too close and the shadow of the lens fell across it and it was off, to sunnier climes no doubt. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make. May the bird of paradise fly up your nose.

excellent closeups of this fly! Aren't they cool looking up close like this??!! Awww Jeff, I remember the days when you would say "May the sun shine on you where ever you may go" .. now its "May the bird of paradise fly up your nose." LOL!!!

LOL, you know darn well we were all expecting some sweet young thing lolling about in the briefest of bikinis!! Or some sweet young guy in his Speedo (my personal choice!!)~~~but oh well, we take what we get and we got this amazing macro. Just so he doesn't fly up my nose!!
