Description

Hi Everyone *S* This is my version of the ancient Celtic Goddess Brigid who is the Goddess of fire, fertility, hearth, healing, smithcraft, love, poetry, witchcraft and occult knowledge. Her name means "the exalted one."
She tends the triple fires of smithcraft (physical fire), healing (the fire of life within), and poetry (the fire of the spirit). Green is her color and perhaps one of the reasons she is so beloved is she is said to have invented beer in Ireland!
Her feast day is the Pagan Sabbat Imbolc (the Christian Candlemas) when the predictions for the coming Spring were made, a remnant of which is seen in the modern Groundhog Day.
She had an exclusive female priesthood at Kildare and an ever-burning fire. She had 19 priestesses representing the 19 year cycle of the Celtic "Great Year." Y'all have a great day and thanks a bunch for comments and faves *S* ~ Love & Hugs ~ * Mina *
