For You, Dear Rita ~ * Big Hugs * * * * Today's post is for a dear lady here who just lost her beloved pet, Gracie Anne, and for all of you others who have lost a special animal friend. I lost my beloved Shih-tzu back in '05 and I will never get over the loss... I've included the well known Rainbow Bridge(thanks Gene) , and let's hope all of us will one day be reunited with our lost animal friends. ~ Love & Hugs ~ * Mina *

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Oh Mina, I know that my beloved Gracie Anne is waiting for me, as are the ones that went before. If heaven does not allow our four legged companions, then I am staying with my beloved Gracie Anne at the Rainbow Bridge, where my Boo-boo cat and my Mishu dog are joyously greeting Gracie Anne right now. Meanwhile, back here in our world, my heart aches. This is so beautiful Mina, thank you from my heart.

Soooo beautiful Mina!!! I really look forward to meet my first cat, a Birman, died 16 years old of kidney failure, and my darling Abessinian, just three years old when a car put him to death. So Rita, my heart goes out to you having lost your friend, and I know this image and words about the rainbow bridge will cheer you up a little! Hugs and consolation from Gun.

Beautiful picture, Mina. What a wonderful comfort for your friend, through hard times. It hurt so much to loose a pet if one really love them.. And some of us do. A wise friend of mine said one.. The best place to burry a dog is in your heart....She is right. I sent 2 of my own dogs over that rainbow bridge. in 1989 and in 2002. My thoughts and sympathy for this loss. It hurts so bad when they go..
