Description

One of my favourite things..........but sure looking a little different in this shot! Aug 1st. Thank you for trying! The two folks who thought of Sweet Peas were the closest!. These are actually the flowers buds on a scarlet runner plant, Scarlet Runner Beans! I sure love the idea of harvesting little red boxing gloves though! Many thanks for that chuckle!

Sort of has the shape of a ladys slipper but I have never seen on in person. They are delicate and your macro is great.

My Goodness! No guesses whatsoever, although what I know for sure is that they sure are beautiful! Excellent capture of textures and colours! So very refreshing for the soul!

I really have no idea what it is but when I first looked at it the first thing that came to my mind was a sweet pea. But it has been years since I've seen them in the bud stage so it is definitely just a guess. Whatever it is, it is beautiful!

very cool. I like it. My botany skills are at an all time low; however, it looks like the plant that they harvest boxing gloves from - an Everlast tree? Sorry... best guess.

Are you still posting straight out of the camera, or have you figured out how to do some postwork? This shot is so perfect I think "postwork," then I think "Chris," and I think ... "Naw - no postwork." You're amazing. This is a phenomenal shot - I'd never get anything close to this without Photoshop!

Splendiferous POV, clarity and colors in this wonderful shot of an exploded clamshell bloom, Chris! Never heard of a scarlet runner bean plant before. I am relatively clueless in the realm of flora.
