Description

Thought I'd follow a bit of morning colour by a night b&w, continuing the series.. I've been playing around a bit with low povs recently since getting a new mini-tripod which actually can sit quite close to the ground. This is a shot looking down a one-way street on the edge of St Andrews, known as The Scores. To the right are a bunch of academic departments, including Art History where I study, then basically a cliff overlooking the sea. On the left you can see the turrets marking a back entrance to 'Sallies' Hall. It was really misty when I took this, and I wanted to get a sense of the street curving off into the mist though I'm not sure that you can really see that far... not 100% sure about this one, think it might just look like 'any old' street, what do you think? This is very moody - good Halloween choice. I like that the texture of the curb and street are visible and leading you down and out - maybe get closer? The glare of the lamps with the shadows of the trees and walls on either side of the street make a nice frame.
