More from the festival I attended. The purses are made from real turtle shell with a cloth backing. The small ones without fur...There were some things I could not take pics of, like beautiful pottery,sculptures and paintings. One of the artists was Eli Thomas, we exchanged websites and if you would like to see his work just go to elithomasart.com and for native american music by Joanne Shenandoah visit joanneshenandoah.com She was there and autographed her cd's for people but I didn't buy one. Thanks for looking and for previous comments! Honoring the "Hodenosaunee" at Hanover Square Grammy-winner Joanne Shenandoah and SAMMY Hall of Famer Sandy Bigtree headline the second annual "Honoring the Haudenosaunee" event at Hanover Square. The daylong event honors the six tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy, through music, food, dance, arts and crafts and more. Proceeds will benefit scholarships for Native students pursuing higher education.
