Description
This is just downstream from where Opal Creek and another stream come together to form the Little North Santiam River. I loved the color of the water, although I have no idea why it's that color. What I do know is that it's really cold; we stopped and had lunch here on a 90 degree day. It felt good to cool off in the water, but I certainly couldn't stay in very long, and I didn't go past knee-deep.

My guess is that it is unlikely to be algae because the water seems to flow quite fast. Still an amazing emerald hue. Well captured.

I think the color of the water just shows how clear and clean it is, but I don't know. Great shot how ever. I'm going to find Little North Santiam River now. Thanks for the great shots.
