Description

This is just downstream from where Opal Creek and another stream come together to form the Little North Santiam River. I loved the color of the water, although I have no idea why it's that color. What I do know is that it's really cold; we stopped and had lunch here on a 90 degree day. It felt good to cool off in the water, but I certainly couldn't stay in very long, and I didn't go past knee-deep. More to come from this hike; thanks for stopping by and any comments.

My guess is that it is unlikely to be algae because the water seems to flow quite fast. Still an amazing emerald hue. Well captured.

Oh, that looks so cool and refreshing! And the green tint is especially inviting. Lovely stream and image. Around here the streams are muddy, you are so lucky to have such beautiful pure rivers and streams there.

The color is so inviting. I love the clarity of the water. I don't see that in our rivers, streams and sloughs here. Fabulous, inviting shot.

It looks so inviting on a 90 degree day. I would at least be dipping a cloth in to cool off with.

I think the color of the water just shows how clear and clean it is, but I don't know. Great shot how ever. I'm going to find Little North Santiam River now. Thanks for the great shots.
