Description
I thought my gallery needed some color for a change and decided to upload this image I took a couple of weeks ago while visiting my granddaughter. I tried the backlight thing with a little postwork on Photoshop.
I am dedicating it to Santa (santa29klaus) whom I have met for the first time this past weekend in Bloemfontein. Santa - here's to friendship and loads of chatting over bottles of wine!!! Thank you for your effort to come and meet me and good luck with your challenges!!!
I am feeling better on the second batch of antibiotics and still working myself to the bone at the office and at home. Please be patient with me for not commenting as much as I would love to.

It took me almost 2 months to get my strength back after a bout of chronic bronchitis so be patient with yourself. :-) This is a very lovely backlit rose. It glows. Makes the petals look magical. BTW, I am such a nut for colors and color combinations that before I post each photo to my galler, I will pop up the top half of it and view it as a whole. I check to see what colors are overdone on the page or what colors need to be added to keep over all visual appeal and interest when someone might pop in to look. Then I go to my "holding" file and choose what looks like it will fit best. :-)

Oh my. IMHO, this is easily the most beautiful, wonderful, stunning shot in your gallery! Of course I'm a bit partial to flowers, roses in particular, backlighting, and non-centered compositions. Red is a tough capture, and you did a fantastic job! So ... I love every single thing about this shot. Beautiful! Congrats on reaching the 20s! :)

Great macro, considering the capricious red color, Carin, and fabulous backlighting! I always resort to Photoshop when I do red roses, a variety of which I try to keep at a minimum in my gallery. Incidentally, just finished my regimen with two different types of antibiotics, taken concurrently. It did help a bit, but really no fun. I have putting that stuff in my system, but really the best alternative.
