Description

This dedication is for my friend Roby who is known to everyone as (RobyHermida). It has been a true pleasure to get to know Roby and become close friends with him. He is a magnificent photographer that can capture the true beauty life has to offer with his camera. Most important he is one of the kindest and most gentle people you could ever meet. A trip through his gallery is a magnificent journey through a dream world that I hope you all will take. Roby's parents passed on at a young age but they left so many wonderful memories with him. I wanted to share this one that is one of his favorite's and I hope you enjoy it. Hugs, Dave He Came From Outer Space (For RobyHermida): When Roby was 8 years old he lived with his parents in a humble but beautiful home. Every day he would go on the front porch and play with his dog Sultan as his pet parrot Cocueque watched on. One day his Mother Teresita tried to explain to little Roby she was going to have another baby. Roby was jealous and did not want to talk about it so his parents waited. One day his Dad Victor came to him and told Roby what a great moment this would be and he could help care for his new brother. Roby seemed happy and asked where his brother would come from. Victor was not sure what to tell his son and he said (Roby do you see the stars in the sky ?) Your new brother Rafael will travel here on a flying saucer when the martians bring him. Roby had seen War Of The Worlds and was a little bit concerned but still he wanted to see his brother. So every day as it would start to get dark Roby would take Sultan and his toys to the front porch. There they would play and watch the sky for his brother Rafael to arrive as his parents looked on. Hope you enjoyed this memory and I hope it teaches many of you the truth of where babies come from ;) Credits: Matt, Vick-4, Mike-3, Puppy By Daz Parrot By Noggin MS Living Room By Richabri Randy For V-4 By Syltermermaid Wildcat Hair By Valea Wonder Wedge By Daz Jason Hair By GRFK DSGN Unlimited Puppy Playtime Props By ARTCollaborations Jeans, Ants Pants By Mada Casual Concepts By Sarsa, Vampir3Princess, Lesthat Classic Casual By Bobbie25 IFD Scorpion By Serrge Birdcage In Free Stuff

That is such a wonderful story and a great illustration. I love the hopeful and eager at once. That perhaps is one of the greatest attributes of children, to accept what would seem impossible to us adults. For kids, there are no real barriers between the ordinary and the magical. And no reason a brother shouldn't come from outer space.

Well, Dave, when I saw the title I settled down for an alien abduction story: you know- aliens beam up girl, impregnate her, erase her memory of the event, and the result is a baby with gold cats eyes and an ability to fry peoples' brains with a single stare and so on, But no (sigh) I have to say this is much better! Leaving aliens aside, Roby Herida's gallery is very good and I have looked through it but not lately so I will re-vist. The story will ring bells with many people I am sure and is a variant of what many kids are told about their siblings "in transit". Beats the corny 'stork story' any day! As for your visualisation- well what can I say- its all there and done with your usual skill and attention to detail- not too cute, another favourite! Little details like the dog bowl and ball are what makes these pictures work so well and, well, there you are, I'm out of words... Dave

I think I would of made it onto the first page, had it not been for the long line up. Great dedi with a cool rendition of Roby's alien experience, such a funny story too. As big as R'osity is, you've been able to carve out your own little niche. Nice work once again magnus.

This is the most unique 'where do babies come from' story I've ever heard. Just precious. I love it! What a fabulous job you did on this picture too. I really love the expression on the boy's face - full of anticipation and wonder at the thought of his little brother coming down from the sky. As always, there's fabulous detail in this. Love the addition of the flying saucer in his hand - just perfect. That dog is great; love the pose and the 'pet me, pet me' look on his face to get his master's attention. Great job with mom and dad too - love how they're lovingly observing from behind and their affectionate pose. Great expressions for them too, especially mom's. And lastly, great add of the parrot in the cage - it's those extra little details that really make your pictures special. Wonderful work! Bravo! You never cease to amaze me.
