Description
This dedication is for my friend Roby who is known to everyone as (RobyHermida). It has been a true pleasure to get to know Roby and become close friends with him. He is a magnificent photographer that can capture the true beauty life has to offer with his camera. Most important he is one of the kindest and most gentle people you could ever meet. A trip through his gallery is a magnificent journey through a dream world that I hope you all will take. Roby's parents passed on at a young age but they left so many wonderful memories with him. I wanted to share this one that is one of his favorite's and I hope you enjoy it. Hugs,
Dave
He Came From Outer Space (For RobyHermida): When Roby was 8 years old he lived with his parents in a humble but beautiful home. Every day he would go on the front porch and play with his dog Sultan as his pet parrot Cocueque watched on. One day his Mother Teresita tried to explain to little Roby she was going to have another baby. Roby was jealous and did not want to talk about it so his parents waited. One day his Dad Victor came to him and told Roby what a great moment this would be and he could help care for his new brother.
Roby seemed happy and asked where his brother would come from. Victor was not sure what to tell his son and he said (Roby do you see the stars in the sky ?) Your new brother Rafael will travel here on a flying saucer when the martians bring him. Roby had seen War Of The Worlds and was a little bit concerned but still he wanted to see his brother. So every day as it would start to get dark Roby would take Sultan and his toys to the front porch. There they would play and watch the sky for his brother Rafael to arrive as his parents looked on. Hope you enjoyed this memory and I hope it teaches many of you the truth of where babies come from ;)

This "stork" business was a conspiracy designed to hide the real truth of babies coming from space, assisted by Martians! Mulder was right all along! :D Seriously, another great dedi, Dave. So detailed and touching!

I love this! a sweet child believing everything his parents tell him. childhood innocence is special. nice work on the details here, again. I like the props inside the house, it looks lived in. :) the dog is really cute, he looks like he wants to play.

You've done it again Dave, you've captured my attention just with the title alone but when i came to look at the image iv'e sat here staring at it and re-reading the story over and over. It's magnificent and what a wonderful thing for a daddy to tell his little boy, sadly too many children these days "know it all" and there's no harm in a little bit of innocence at that age. The wonder in his face is portrayed perfectly and his best friend next to him is just as excited i'm sure, even the bird watching on is waiting for something to happen. Bravo again Dave, you are second to none in this genre of 3D artwork.

Hmmmmm, not sure that's such a good notion to plant in a child's head. Now Roby's going to believe that his little brother is some kind of alien. Although, Sultan seems to feel that there was a definite up side to this conspiracy - more time out on the porch. But needless to say, when Mom starts to show, Dad is going to have to provide a little more down to Earth explanation. And trust me, by that time, Mom is not going to bail Dad out on this one.

Roby's parents must have been very special people! I love how his Dad told him a baby brother was a good thing, LOL! Sure beats the "under the cabbage leaf" or the stork stories, or the whatever the local baby lore is! You've taken Roby's story and told it so beautifully, and made us see it visually in such a beautiful way! You make the expressions on the faces so realisticly and wonderfully, your poses are first rate, even the expressions on the faces of the birds and the beasties are magical! It all comes from your heart, and that makes it so magical!
