Description

Hello ! Finally the day came that you will see, what this is. LOL ! I find this so amazing. And this bug was BIG. The body was 30-35mm long. I had to make it run around the old plast bowl for 20 minutes, before it was tired enaugh to stay still for me to take this shot. And it only stayed for a few secs. I havent a clou about the art of bug, but it makes me think about the beautiful fibulas they created in the Iron age. Exactly the same edges. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments to yesterdays post. I also thank thos who added the image to their favorite list. I am very grateful. :))) Have a wonderful day. Yesterday we had thunder storm and I couldnt have my PC on. The relay went out 3 times, so it was good, that I had pulled the plug out. the bad weather went on for more than 3 hours. Now it seems to be a day like yesterday heavy and humid. Dont hope we get thunder storm again.

It looks like a click beetle....if they fall over on to their back they make a clicking sound to ward off danger....they have a pretty color to them but they sure are creppy....I'm just happy it was in your yard and not mine.......LOL.

It does look like an armour breast plate, it makes me think of the Spanish that landed in South America. A very ornate looking beetle, I like PJ's idea about making a broach out of it. Superb work you put into this capture. Bravo!!!!!
