Description

This lovely hydrangea, with is soft pinks, blues, lavender and turquoise colours made me smile. I am not sure if these colours are permanent, or if it hasn't quite made its mind up about which dress to wear! Perhaps the soil it's in is connected. Whatever the cause, I found the results appealing. I think that it might be worth a zoomed view, and thanks for stopping by.

My mother used to sink nails into the soil around ours and said that was the way to bring out the true color in these babies. This does have a poetic quality to it with the gentle and varied pastels. Lovely shot.

What a peacful grouping of colors. I think soil, water, & the sun all play a part in the colors. Up the street one bush I see has almost purple colors to begin its display, then moves to softer colors over the next few days. JDoc
