Something i took last night, thought i would share.
I'm convinced this guy looks cute, others may beg to differ. He also looks as if he is setting out on a journey into an unknown especially as he is on unfamiliar ground - well technically it is a wall as i found him on my bathroom wall tiles hence the reflection and colour ;)
Going up to the Edinburgh Festival today for a week, see you when i get back! :)

Impressive detail and color and I agree on cute! Also the only spider I know of which can move the lenses in the longs shafts behind its eyes, to focus in different directions. I think it's a she... Have fun at the festival, I am looking forward to see what you may bring back.

I too think he / she is CUTE , those lovely big eyes. Spider looks a bit uncertain in which direction to go. Hope he / she is out in the Garden now and all save and happy. Beautiful beautiful work. This really helps me to get over my phobia!!

Couldn't have had a more pleasant contrast of colors between background and subject. And yeah, the spider is adorable to me -- one of my worst fears is getting a spider inside my ear, but as long as they don't crawl on me they are beautiful and fascinating creatures. This may seem an odd observation, but this photo makes me wonder what the spider is thinking, if they do in fact think. They always seem to be considering, calculating, little living machines almost, but whether or not they experience what we would call "thought" is I guess up for debate. Anyway, this is a gorgeous photo. I've tried for similar compositions in the past and this has topped them all. Cheers!

Great macro! The model is rather man-like with the two big eyes--unusual with spiders. Maybe an ET (or: se Vonnegut's novel about the Galápagos islands). So the title is also gorgeous!
