Description

guess you wonder why I used this as a title. Every time I see that lamp post which is the only one around on the lack it seft i think of the writeings of C S Lewis and his books. I do not know why. Guess this Lake Martin which is closet to my house brings me to a diff world than the towns and all around it. I can drive down the road next to the lake and see birds and gators. Yes the small birds is there too but they hard to find and you have to get out the car to see them and by the time you see them and ready to take a photo they gone. But That the game; You have to be faster. I do not like to walk around much for the gators. This shot I was out the truck for I saw a lot of people by the boat landing. This is where I at; to the right of the photo just out of the photo is the boat landing. This day I saw someone I did not see in ten years come up by boat. This is why I think of C S Lewis and the lamp post. If you read his books or saw the movie you know what I talking about . thanks for looking and comments and votes too oh the lamp post do not come on intill it real dark

Beautiful sunset silhouette capture, Jock. Hey, giving titles to your images in this way is great for referencing later on. Of course, you have to index them so when you search for certain key words or phrases, they then appear in the listing.

A beautiful sky you have captured here as well Jocko, I think I might be a bit wary of walking around where the gators are as well. Excellent capture, looks like theres not only you goes to the lake with a camera then. Looking at the sky there if I was fishing theres still enough light to see to land the fish, so I would carry on for maybe another hour. Thats over here though Jocko, and we don't have gators to worry about. If was fishing Lake Martin, I think I would be sat in the back of my pick-up truck. Lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

We have many man-made lakes here and I love to escape to one of these areas when I can. I always find the more isolated spot to avoid contact with other people but I'm not the only one with that idea. :-) This is a good view of people using the lake for different reasons. Personally, I'd be fishing AND taking photos. :-) I multi-task very well.

A lone lamppost with a long-lost friend showing up out the the blue? I would think of C.S. Lewis, too. Nice shot, and I like the title.
