Description

I've seen some unusual insects before, but never any that looked like these. Approximately the same color as the wood of the deck and the size and general appearance of a wasp, they weren't particularly disturbed by human activity although they were around the whole time we were. They may have even been nesting in the moulding for the hot-tub. Wherever they came from, this guy decided to sit still and pose for me to take some photographs. That was pretty neat. Wow - this is an incredible photo. Really cool insect. I have no idea what it is either. Very clear shot and excellent POV. Well done!
