Description

The Eel RIver, as you know, is one of my most favorite places. I was there a couple of days ago just before sundown, but it was getting foggy. (A normal state of affairs for this area). So, instead of the usual hot red sunset, here's this version--soft, blurry, but nevertheless with a beauty all its own. Oh, and the minute the sun's gone, the wind comes up and all of a sudden, it's cold!! And there I was, in shorts, tank and flip flops; I walked home (a mile and a half) FAST!!

great shot..... it brings to mind the 40's cartoon which responds to the title with 'bingo, bango, bongo, i don't wanna leave the congo, i'm so happy!

The golden hues of this sunset are beautiful. And the cloud/fog area which developed adds so much dimension and interest to the capture.

The gold is lovely; there is something that says "California" to me about this shot, must be echoes of my wasted youth! Excellent photo!

Well, I can see the tank top might be a problem in the chill but the flip-flops? Nahhhh. :-) This is a fabulous moment captured. Like a molten bronze being poured from the sky into the water.

Very nice. Soft subtle amber sunset in the making, Marilyn. And don't mean to diss your life style, but flip-flops are the last thing to wear when walking any distance over a block from home.
