I'm afraid I'm not eagle eyed enough, Mick, but this is a terrific close up, and i think I like it more than the other. The water drops are good and I LOVE the how the veins show up on the wings.

Great capture, I am no entomologist, but crossed wings usually mean the insect is dead, so my guess is thats it :)...If it aint dead, it's dying lol...If I am right or wrong, it's a great shot mate!

A hard working bee indeed,.. very nice mick bud :0)

superb mick!

The pattern on the wings is marvelous....great shot!
MrsLubner
Wing pattern is great and the small drops on the flower make the bloom more alive. He does seem to have the petals tucked up under the arm pits for stability. What is that bit of orange to the right bottom? It seems to be a small bug but I'm not certain...
CavalierLady
Great timing on this capture, Mick. All I can think of is the slower shutter speed and the fact that you caught him with his 'tongue' out as already mentioned.

Well ya got me Mick! I see a bit of difference in the focus but aside from that not a clue! Its a superb macro, The crossed wings give it a bit of abstract quality!
