Playing with my new macro lens. Found this very patient wasp who was quite willing to sit still while I worked out what I should be doing. Better do some reading on how to capture great macro shots. Thanx for all your comments on my last uploads it helps to keep me out there.

the way to take great macros is take several, as it is not always easy to get the right focus if you are holding by hand.bugs get nervous if you try and get a tripod into their safety zone.also dof ruins lot's of shots also never the less you made an excellent macro

Nice capture but I think your wasp is actually a Fly and based on what looks like a proboscis, it is possibly one of the Robberflies. Practice is the best way to learn. Thanks for sharing. Lee

Great macro! The fly probably prefers fish-eye perspective, so the answer may be: looking at us, itself and everything in between.
