Description

All I'm taking is these kinda shots for work - I don't have anytime or inclination left to get out the camera for recreational purposes. So I'll post one just to keep my gallery going. It is taken inside a confined space training tunnel. The client insisted it had to be closed so was pitch black in there :( They use the tunnels for training all sorts of people who need to crawl through tunnels - whos that you might say ! Well police, military etc etc. I was not in there when they threw in the smoke bombs and told them to find various things before they could come out !!! Not all the pics are in the confined space - but it is the ones I found most challenging. No choice on POV I was sat on the floor in the corner just hoping for any shot. R

Greetings, I won't comment on the image, rather on your commentary. I can fully understand work getting in the way and sapping all your energy from recreational photography, along with duties to family and the house. It certainly is not easy to find balance in life, let alone time for real art, yet it is important that one does. After twenty-seven years as a graphic designer with no vacation I finally had a year off because the economy was so bad I had to close the business and since then health issues finally caught up with me. After a challenging five years of going through a knee surgery that took four and half years to recover, then a bout with cancer, followed by a heart attack and open-heart by-pass surgery, I have been given a second chance at life. Though responsibilities to family, the house, or finding work have not vanished, I have started to create more art. I have returned to college last spring and will again attend this fall and in doing so, I am fulfilling a childhood dream of being the artist I always wanted to be. In short, make time for your art, for your photography or you will be not only sorry one day, but you may end up being bitter at life. Thank you for sharing. egmont
