Description

I am so grateful for this community as it has given me the chance to make friends from all over the world. One of those people I am so proud to call my close friend is Gerard or best known as Pierre25 here. Gerard is a truly amazing 3d artist that does astounding work in Vue and Poser. If you will take a moment to look at his gallery you will find he puts so much of his heart in his work. If you take time to get to know him you will also discover you couldn't find a kinder man or better friend anywhere in the world. Gerard shared this story with me that happened when he was 6 years old and it has been his secret since that time. Hope you enjoy and searching fro smiles, Dave The Mouse Whisper-er (For Pierre25): As a boy Gerard had very loving parents Jacqueline and George who were so proud of him. When ever they needed wine or cheese his Papa George would send him down to their small wine cellar where they had both stored. Gerard would go down to get the wine and cheese but he would take a very long time because he had a secret. You see he loved all the little mice running about in the cellar and was actually caring for them. Gerard would get a bottle of wine, remove the cheese from the protective net and break off small pieces for the mice. The mice knew Gerard so well they would come up and take cheese from his hand. In my mind I could see Gerard using a screwdriver to trip the mouse traps to protect his little friends from harm. When he would finally go upstairs his parents would look at the cheese and ask him if he had been eating it. Hope you liked it Gerard :) Credits: Matt By Daz Jars, Plate, Screwdriver By Mapps Knife, Rub By Richabri Hansel By Lourdes Mercado Wine Cellar By Nouschka Design Mouse By JTrout Mihai Hair By Neftis Mouse Traps, Wine By Free Stuff

Fantastic work, Dave. A very touching and humorous story and render. I think it is cool that he put a screwdriver in all the mouse traps #;o) Obviously he did not like the thought of mice getting killed in them. Those kind of traps are often cruel and painfull. Often mice only get a leg crushed.. and are left to die a painful death... But Gerard love his little companions there.. nice to see. A very nice tribute to your friend.+5

Well, I had 2 pet rats...one died but Miss Belle is doing very well...she sits on my shoulder, crawls around on the back of my neck tickling me...she gives kisses and is very loving....I love her so much and I really miss Cookie who just died a couple of weeks ago..... but do I like wild rodents? Oh no, no, no....LOL...I'm the first standing up on a chair literally screaming..."Oh my God, it's a mouse, get it, get it!!!"........LOL.....great dedi and image for a great artist!

Very interesting story, dedi and render. You've done a fabulous job of portraying this as it actually happened, right down to the little screwdriver tripping the traps. I think if we all looked at animals this way, there wouldn't be so many extinct species. Cool work dave!!!

Dave as usual you did it again. Your images reflect so well the stories you tell. I always look forward to see whose story you will express next. You are a kind soul, very sentimental and caring. It shows throughout your images. You are very attentive and a good listener. You remember everything people tell you. You have so many friends and their stories are touching. This image is no exception. I love the boys expression. Awesome work.

Once, while on my bed reading during a hot afternoon, a fan beside the bed to keep me cool, a fly kept buzzing around me. I formed in my mind a mental image of flying into the fan blades and then I projected that thought at the fly. I swear, an instant later he did just that - Ping! - no more fly. From that day on I have been known as the Lord of the Flies.

Your attention to all the little details in this wonderful story is amazing Dave, the screwdriver in the trap and the little mouse right down the back realising their friend is here so he's running down as fast as his chubby little well fed legs will get him there to get a feed and some comforting words from Gerard. I love the mouse in front having his fill, so very cute and heart warming. I used to have pet mice when i was a kid and i loved them so much but if i saw one now i'd be standing on the table waiting for my partner to come home from work and rescue me..lol

Great scene full of lovely little details. I especially love the vandalised mousetraps in the background. Another good demonstration of the way children can find wonder in almost anything in the world.
