Description

I am so grateful for this community as it has given me the chance to make friends from all over the world. One of those people I am so proud to call my close friend is Gerard or best known as Pierre25 here. Gerard is a truly amazing 3d artist that does astounding work in Vue and Poser. If you will take a moment to look at his gallery you will find he puts so much of his heart in his work. If you take time to get to know him you will also discover you couldn't find a kinder man or better friend anywhere in the world. Gerard shared this story with me that happened when he was 6 years old and it has been his secret since that time. Hope you enjoy and searching fro smiles, Dave The Mouse Whisper-er (For Pierre25): As a boy Gerard had very loving parents Jacqueline and George who were so proud of him. When ever they needed wine or cheese his Papa George would send him down to their small wine cellar where they had both stored. Gerard would go down to get the wine and cheese but he would take a very long time because he had a secret. You see he loved all the little mice running about in the cellar and was actually caring for them. Gerard would get a bottle of wine, remove the cheese from the protective net and break off small pieces for the mice. The mice knew Gerard so well they would come up and take cheese from his hand. In my mind I could see Gerard using a screwdriver to trip the mouse traps to protect his little friends from harm. When he would finally go upstairs his parents would look at the cheese and ask him if he had been eating it. Hope you liked it Gerard :) Credits: Matt By Daz Jars, Plate, Screwdriver By Mapps Knife, Rub By Richabri Hansel By Lourdes Mercado Wine Cellar By Nouschka Design Mouse By JTrout Mihai Hair By Neftis Mouse Traps, Wine By Free Stuff

I always felt rodent were more sophisticated than we give them credit for. Here we see that they have successfully converted one of the big noisy humans into a useful public service. See how they queue up like it's a Ministry of Transportation office. On a personal level, my sister used to do something similar when she was about that age. Unfortunately, she took a fondness for the rat that took refuge in our basement. Mom was not impressed when she found out, but Chris still managed to care for it in secret for some time. Great detailing and posing as always. I have to admit, some of that wine would go down rather well just about now.

Again, this childhood story by Pierre (Gérard, actually!)is wonderfully rendered by your skillful expertise in Poser. It brings to mind another similar event that took place in my childhood in which mice and gruyere cheese were involved :-). Excellent render and a magnificent dedi to someone who lives only 10 miles from my home!

The posing here is excellent. The boy's facial expression and his body language are great. What a tender and well crafted scene. You have a genuine feel for children and animals. Those mice are perfect. Can't wait to explore more of your gallery!

Oh Dave!! You've done it again! I just adore this story and the image you've worked up to go with it! So sweet and heart warming, and the wonderful little stories that folks are leaving as they remember their "mouse stories"! This is so sweet, and so beautifully created!!

well again, you're detailing is both loving and deeply human—the skew crossing of the boy's right leg, the tilt of his head, the shadows, the detailing in his shirt, etc. Even the mouse closest to us is wholly absorbed, a detail many fine artists would leave out. (He carves out his own world.) You've got a simple but wonderful disarray with the mousetraps—this isn't a posed render!—and a camera-lens's perspective in the tilt of the wine bottle (as if seen through the edge of a lens); and fine detail in the wine bottles in the cellar (light reflections, sharpness of image, even a mouse also absorbed). You must be moved by the tales you're told, because you jump into them with great heart. And while the scene is definitely in a cellar—it's dark and cloistered down there—you filled it with a lot of light. Another deeply thoughful effort, and filled with lots of love. Even a mouse is given heart. It's lovely.
