Description

Same place Franklin Mines, Franklin NJ I know the one on the top left is a scarab, bottom left is a scorpion, and bottom right is a beetle, what the one on the top right is? dunno...but it isn't exactly what you'd want to wake up and see crawling on your pillow that's for sure. Wow, folks, no kidding, the insects on Jewel of the Nile, Indiana Jones and the Mummy, it's real deal!! I'll be watching those movies with a new pair of eyes that's for sure!! Gosh this kind of feels like Halloween in August! Spooooooky!!!LOL To answer Dave's question, yes these insects and the next post are all in the same plexiglass case. If it were a glass case I do think they would have come out much better. But being short and not having the leverage or my tripod I did my best not only to get the bugs at a good angle but to reduce the reflection as much as humanly possible. After I took the pics of my next post, my battery died and I didn't have a spare one with me. That'll learn me! Hope all will have a fantastic weekend and thanks for all your comments. Michelle

Hehe, scary but so interesting! I would love to see the scorpion, bottom left. My guess is the top one right is a (water) scorpion.

Very beautiful bugs you have Michelle. (Ok.. How often have you heard that sentence?) I recognize all except the top right. As for Busi2ness.. He could be right.. but they don't sting or pinch (aren't true scorpions=8 legs). As far as I know, none of the bugs above actually bite. Not that these guys can't bite, it's just not an instinct (defense mechanism) for them. Anyway, cool photos. Bravo and hugs from Dave :^)
