Description

Been a while since I've uploaded an image. This was my entry into the Vue 2008 Landscape contest - but since the contest is over, I can now play with the image and do postwork. The little huts and hanging huts were made in C4D, landscape patterns and texturing done in Photoshop to create height maps for Vue. I gave myself a goal to illustrate - "Who in their right mind would want to live THERE?!" I may revisit this in the future with FAR more extensive Photoshop painting to really make it something different from straight-out-of-the-render looking, and more like a real matte painting. We'll see... Thanks for looking, and any and all comments and suggestions (especially suggestions!) are welcomed and appreciated. -Lew ;-)

hi thundering1, i just browsed your gallery. i find this pic is one of your best! cool huts and nice structure on the walls. you could try to compete the texture strechys on the walls and could go for some dirt inside your ice walls. cool idea!
